When embarking on a renovation, it can be challenging to envision the final evolution. You may have ideas like “Change these light fixtures” and “Remove that wall,” but truly comprehending the eventual outcome often results in a delightful surprise for everyone involved. It’s kind of like orchestrating a complex heist in a thrilling movie; only when you stand before the Bellagio’s fountains do you witness the fruits of your labor in design and your crews craftsmanship come to life.
Take, for instance, the Tampa kitchen we recently completed. Going from a dark, outdated, and cramped design to a bright, rustic, charming, and open kitchen was a surprise for all of us. We knew we were good at what we do, but it’s truly satisfying to witness the extent of our teams skill. Along the way, we had our share of doubts and encountered challenges, but we never allowed them to slow us down. A skilled contractor navigates these obstacles gracefully, and as I mentioned, we have a put together skilled team here at G2.

Our Favorite Things
On every project there are certain design aspects and choices the customers make that really stand out to us. We like to take this section and highlight a few of those choices.
First and most noticable: they got a bigger boat! Jaws jokes aside, our customer was looking to expand like mcdonalds in the 1960’s. So we knocked down the wall separating the pantry from the kitchen, opted for some large Yorktowne cabinets for storage and created this vast and inviting kitchen. The open kitchen helps the flow of the house by integrating the adjoining rooms without feeling a sense of it being overwhelming.
Next, The backsplash. This Tesoro Slide emerald subway tile felt odd at first, I’m not going to lie. However with the rustic orange cabinets, farmhouse bucket sink, euro traditional style of the kitchen and the complimenting Island, the backspalsh falls into place like a charm. Without a doubt my favorite eye-catching piece of the room.
