With the homeowners not living in the house during construction, we were able to tackle each stage of this home renovation in one fell swoop. Flipping back and forth between this bathroom, the kitchen and all the additional work, this was an all hands on deck kind of project. And those are the project we love the most.
For this master bathroom, A lot of the old was being removed. From the shower to tub conversion; the mirror, vanity/lighting, toilet and the ADA handicap bars from the previous owner, everything was to go. After framing a new wall to surround the tub, the drywall was installed along with the new tub. Add on a few drywall patches from the old towel bars and it was time for the vanity to be installed.
No switches or new GFCI, so electrical was as easy as screwing in a lightbulb. So pop in the vanity, mirrors and lighting fixtures and next thing you know, it’s time to tile.
Starting with the wall surrounding the tub, new 12×24 Delhi Arctic White tile encased the area like a blanket. Now while we did refloor the entirety of the home, the bathrooms were the only areas to receive tile. So After the tub wall, we tiled the floors.
