Full Remodel

Project Cost: $33,639.00

“When you start, build from the ground up” that is exactly what you should do, however that is not how ideas are built. A home, a bathroom remodel, or even legos; yes, you start at the ground floor, the foundation, at point zero, and work your way along. However; thoughts and ideas are never so straight forward. No, the thoughts and building blocks that turn ideas into reality are never so simple. As a videographer and a storyteller, I build the basis of my short films off of a simple; thought, shot, or small bit that I will then craft an entire story surrounding this single piece of information.

For our latest Bathroom remodel, that is exactly the same process our homeowner took when designing their bathroom. With removing the previous shower and tub, moving and walling off the toilet, the rest of the bathroom (Floors & Vanity) was to stay. Build around the idea.

So in we went, like editors with our red pens, refining the script into a Pulitzer prize winner of a bathroom. Follow along the story below.

Our Favorite Things

On every project there are certain design aspects and choices the customers make that really stand out to us. We like to take this section and highlight a few of those choices.

First, and most noticable, the Tub-shower conversion. Removing the giant and dormant jacuzzi tub cleared away a sizeable portion of square footage, making this bathroom larger and the shower itself in comparison to the old. Add in the dual shower heads, and you have yourself a reasonable, and stylistic shower that can deliver a 360 degree wash.

Next up, enclosing the toilet. So the old iteration of this bathroom was, let’s be frank, obsolete. The old design seemed as if they made the bathroom, forgot to add a toilet and just shoved it in a corner. Not the G2 remodel. By enclosing the toilet in a separate room, you not only show thought and precision in your design, but care for some privacy too. So you no longer need to sit there like a loo in a prison cell.

Finally, well, the paint. I think it was the first thing we all noticed about this space. However, the more I see it the more I begin to like it! The soft rust orange is the warm embrace we all need to start our morning routines. Like stepping into a creamsicle, the bathroom’s paint color is one that compliments the floor and shower tiles accents while delivering a statement.
