Master bathroom & Walk-in Closet Remodel in Hudson Florida

Total Job Cost: $45,113.00

This was familiar territory for the G2 crew. We had been in this home not even a year prior to remodel this customers guest bathroom, and like Nick Fury calling on The Avengers, this customer called on G2 again to update their outdated Master Bathroom.

G2 Home Services provides a one stop shop where you can work with interior design and construction professionals who can help you create a beautiful, practical & functioning home. We start each project with a Design and Budget Consult (our “fit” meeting). This will help you clarify your design ideas, understand the remodeling process and create a Good, Better, Best Budget for  your project.

Without hesitation, G2 jumped into action! Planning, designing and preparing the scope of work for this job like an alien invasion in New York. This repeat customer was looking for nothing special just some extras here and there. Matching shower tile from the guest bathroom, updating the floors to a beautiful Vinyl Plank Tile in the bathroom and closet, new vanity, electrical, and a floor to ceiling tower cabinet with crown molding.

If we’ve been in a job like this once, we’ve been there a thousand times. So Let’s take a look below to see how G2 managed to transform this Master bathroom into a clean, angelic space for our customer!

Our Favorite Things

In every project, there are design decisions or selections by our customers that always make us stand back and appreciate the art of remodeling that we work with everyday. We like to take this section and highlight a few of those choices!

To start, The shower. Not just the tile but the shower itself. We moved the entire shower to the corner of the room, removing a wall and building 2 half walls to encase the shower with MyShowerDoor.com Glass.

Next up is the Tower Cabinet. This floor to ceiling cabinet is the perfect storage for all your linens and bathroom essentials. My personal favorite is the surround crown molding, making this cabinet appear as a pillar of class and a stapled transition of storage on your way to the closet.

Finally the flooring. Extending from the door sill through the back of the closet, this Vinyl Plank Tile is the perfect addition to any bathroom. Going with the charcoal grey, is adds a perfect contrast to the white walls and vanity as well as matching the shower backslash and floor. Giving this bathroom a symmetric flow of colors that make the eye snap onto the subtle highlights.

Scope of work

Demo

Bust out those sledge hammers because this bathroom was gutted down to the frame.

Framing

The only change to the frame being made is the knee wall being added to enclose the new shower area.

Plumbing

Because the shower head was being relocated, the plumbing needed to be as well. Moving the shower control to one of the knee walls, installing under sink plumbing in the new vanity and a few faucets was all this took.

Electrical

We rewired the vanity lights (which there are 2 new ones) to be on an independent switch, a recessed light over the shower, a new GFCI and a new Exhaust fan/light combo in the bathroom.

Tile

The shower is the only wall being tiled, acting as an accent wall. Two niches installed into the shower as storage and the listello was all this took!

Carpentry

Time to bring in the new cabinetry including the tower cabinet. With this we add the base board, and the crown molding.

Paint

Paint!

Decor

Install the knobs for the cabinets, a towel bar and the mirrors.
