Kitchen Remodel

Before After

Project Phase Cost: $80,000

It’s not every day you find your company working on the largest project it ever has. While it is A milestone each company eventually achieves, 13 years in, and those miles stones become harder to hit. But with strategic planning, quality work and a little bit of luck, we find ourselves notching our belts once again.

This project is a master suite addition and a bathroom, built from the ground up, a full kitchen renovation and a slew of minor updates, since we were already there. No small feat but, like David vs. Goliath, with the G2 crew as our slingshot, we approached this project with a tactically written out design, architectural plans and the confidence to stare down this giant on the field of battle.

Below, and on the concurrent subpages, we will be breaking down the entirety of this project form beginning to end. Keep reading along to see what G2 can do for you.

Our Favorite Things!

In every project, or phase, there are certain design aspects that really stick out to us as “wow” factors, we like to take a moment to highlight these and show them off. Below are our favorite things about this Dunedin kitchen renovation!

When we talk about having a vision, our customer HAD a vision, and my goodness was it beautiful. Let’s start with the most obvious, the opened floor space. By removing the original wall separating the foyer and the kitchen, the entire home has taken a breath of fresh air. The kitchen and dining room have completely opened up into one unified space, with the kitchen itself only a few feet further out, but that is enough to redefine its size and scope of functionality.

Next, speaking of functionality, the Catalina Polar White shaker cabinets. With the expanded kitchen comes expanded storage and what better way to make a small space feel larger than floor to ceiling cabinets? With the windowed cabinets up top complimented with accent lighting, these cabinets reflect the clean slate this home has achieved with a renovation.

Can’t Forget, the accented lighting. The under cabinet lights and back lights in the windowed cabinets create a soft atmosphere that lights the path to any midnight snack. The warm soft glow of the energy efficient yellow LED lights not only highlight the cabinets but also illuminates even the darkest of nights, banishing the shadows away.

Being our largest project to date, I have some Honorable Mentions. The brass Jeffrey Alexander cabinet pulls and faucet are such a unique and complimentary contrast to your typical black or silver that it must be mentioned. The way the brass draws your eye in contradiction to the white cabinets is again why this kitchen is such a standout. Another is the custom white appliances. AGAIN just such a distinguishing feature of this kitchen. And with the custom white stove front or refrigerator mixed with the brass pulls and knobs, this kitchen renovation proves again and again how a vision can be make or break.

Finally, The Blue Subway Backsplash. In perfect coordination with the brass and white color tones of the kitchen, the blue backsplash tiles are just the chef’s kiss to this renovation.
